I got the chance last week to drive to Michigan to photograph Ashley & Shawn’s engagement session at their families home! And I say families because Shawn’s parents & Ashley’s grandmother live next door to each other! Which is how they met! Isn’t that so sweet?!

 

One summer, Ashley’s family was in the process of a move and was staying with her grandmother until it was time to go to their new home. Ashley noticed the boy next door and asked him if he wanted to go on a walk down the road with her and her sister. Although Shawn may not have done as much chatting as Ashley & her sister, sparks still flied and the two fell in love. Over the course of years & summers & long distance relationships, the two are finally together and laying down their roots together.

 

Their wedding will be at Ashley’s grandma’s home, under the tree where they shared their first kiss! Oh be still my heart! There was SO many great photo op spots during their engagement session I’m not sure how I will be able to find myself to pry away from the home to the reception! I can’t wait for their big day and share some more of their love with y’all!
