Winter finally arrived here in Ohio with a recent snow storm that had us stuck in the house for a few days. Then like Ohio weather does, gave us a 50 degree day and the snow just about all melted away as quickly as it came. Although I am no snow bunny & prefer much warmer temps, I was really hoping to have some snow for my maternity session with Roxanne & Dan later that week. I could just envision a sweet baby bump with snow all around and it looked pretty magical in my mind. Thankfully, more snow arrived just in time for this sweet at home session!
Roxanne & Dan welcomed me into their home in Akron to photograph the most current season of life they are in. Roxanne is due in March with a sweet baby boy on the way. These two reminded me much of me & Nick as we lead up to the days before our little guy’s arrival. Picking a name isn’t as easy as I thought it would be! And the same holds true for Dan & Roxanne. While they may not be ready to choose a name for their little bundle, they were certainly ready in the nesting department!
Roxanne’s maternity session was my first session after taking a month long hiatus from photographing and I couldn’t have asked for a better session to start back to if I tried! She & Dan were up for anything that I asked them to do (even heading out in the chilly teen temps for a few portraits!) and let me do some creative portraits that sometimes we just need to take to keep us feeling inspired! I can not wait for these two soon to be parents to welcome their son into the world & meet the little one! (I can’t wait to find out what they name him too! 🙂 )
