I got the chance to drive down to Columbus to meet Rebecca & Peter for their engagement session! I just knew Rebecca and I would get along so well through the emails we have sent back and forth. She wanted her engagement session to be meaningful and the locations, posing and so forth to really mean something to them – which I was very much like “YESSS!” 🙂

We started their session at a tavern in Columbus which is where they first met! It was just by chance that Rebecca ran into an old friend who invited her to go to this tavern with a large group of friends and where she would later meet Peter! But what I just love about their story is Peter and his friends have this running inside joke about carrying (I believe it was an orange!) these odd items with them places and since it was his last night with his friends, he found a potato and took it along with him instead! After meeting Rebecca and going to different places, he gave her his name and number on this potato! (LOL, I love how quirky this is!) Fast forward to their first date and Peter took Rebecca to all of these places she had on her bucket list of things to do in Columbus! They went to Jeni’s ice cream, walked to Goodale park where they got ate alive by bugs but neither one cared because they were just falling in love by the minute!! 🙂 Then the night of the proposal, Peter took Rebecca back to the spot where they first met and when he proposed, he gifted her a Mrs. Potato head with the ring tucked inside! Y’all, the thought that was put into this just makes my heart melt and that the story just came full circle for them!! 🙂

So for their engagement session, we went back to the tavern where they first met and then headed to Columbus Park of Roses where they had a picnic with some Jeni’s ice cream & where we also ventured down to the creek to recreate a portrait of Rebecca’s grandparents near a creek as well! 🙂 They were such a joy to chat with and I hate that their wedding day is so far away! I think y’all are just going to love them too!!
