An early fall, rustic backyard intimate wedding in Grafton, OH.
Ever since watching the movie Father of the Bride as a little girl, I have always dreamed of a backyard, outdoor wedding. Although I definitely did try to have my wedding at home, I didn’t get to play out that one day dream of mine. So when I get to photograph a backyard wedding for one of my couples, I am OVER THE MOON! There is just something so personable and touching about having your wedding at home! And when I found out Lindsey & Max were planning their wedding at their home, I was counting down the days until their big day!
Lindsey & Max are such a laid back, cool couple and that just flowed over into their wedding day. While Lindsey & her girls got ready in her bedroom, Max was outside doing the finishing touches on the ceremony & reception areas. You felt so welcomed as you walked into their home by their friends and family!
Prior to the ceremony beginning, Lindsey’s dad showed me that he had a picture of Lindsey and him attached to the inside of his tie. It was the most precious thing, I could have started crying right then!
Soon, the guests were seated in Max & Lindsey’s backyard with some willow trees blowing in the cool breeze in the background. It’s been a trend to see Flower Men at weddings but Lindsey & Max added their own personal touch and had a Beer Man toss a couple of beers to the guests as he walked down. It made for some great laughs and happy guests! 🙂
During the reception, The Portable Pouring Co. was serving the best mix of fall drinks and I had more apple ciders than I can count on both hands because it was just SO delish! With the most darling display around their portable bar, you couldn’t stay away! And the food – don’t even get me started! A family friend of Max & Lindsey’s made the most scrumptious bbq dinner you’ve ever had. A couple after my own heart!
These two danced the night away under some fireworks & chatted around the fire pit with all their best friends and family close by! You couldn’t have had a better at home wedding!
Max & Lindsey – it was a blast to have documented your wedding day and know you two as a couple! I wish you both many years of love & happiness!!
