There is something so exciting when you enter a season where you & your pals begin to get married & start new adventures. But I think it becomes even more special though when we start bringing littles into our llives.

My good friend Mary & her husband, Cody, just recently wed this past August. I was thrilled to know they soon wanted to begin trying for a baby after getting married! Another friend for Liam (and another mama to understand the hardships & magical-ness of motherhood!).

When I found out that a little baby was growing, we begin dreaming up of her maternity & newborn portraits. But I was so honored when we discussed photographing her pregnancy announcement. We needed to make it as unique to them and there was no better way to do that than to bring in some Rae Dunn mugs that said “MOM” & “DAD” that I could only imagine, Mary had been holding onto for quite some time. My friend here is a Rae Dunn fanatic (my mama & I can appreciate this very much when there is something we are on the lookout for!) so we knew they had to make a debut in the shoot!

Mary, Cody & I met one morning before their next ultrasound appointment and did a quick little session to celebrate this momentous occasion! I can’t wait to share with y’all their maternity portraits later this year! 🙂 Congrats sweet friends!
