In home newborn sessions are just so personable and memorable for the parents. I notice everyone is just so much more at ease in their own environment – it really shows in the portraits!
This darling family welcomed me in to photograph their first bundle of sweetness. It was so happy & warm inside their home. Mama had worship music playing lightly in the background, the sun was beautifully beaming through the windows and both mom & dad were full of smiles every time they looked at their sweet boy. It was a recipe for a beautiful session.
However, my favorite moment was when mom started to getting all the happy tears while we started to photograph. It is such a sweet and joyful time for parents taking newborn portraits. I tend to think this is one of the times you get to really stop from the adrenaline rush and realize, “wow – this sweet baby is here & all ours.”
