An ice blue & white, urban downtown Cleveland wedding at Lago Custom Events.

Walking into May & David’s apartment on their wedding day, you were just greeted into the most joyful space! With vases of flowers around from their rehearsal the evening before, laughter and excitement from the bridesmaids and a smile from ear to ear from May, it brought so much sunshine to a cloudy and rainy Cleveland day!

As May walked down the aisle to greet David for the first time, her dad was so precious as he felt all the emotions of walking his little girl down the aisle! St. John Cantius Church hosted their wedding ceremony with elevated ceilings and painted scenes in every space that you looked at. I especially loved the classic long aisle these got to walk down after being declared husband & wife!

Getting bridal portraits was a rush before the storm but boy were we lucky! May & David wanted a backdrop that was representative of downtown Cleveland so we headed to East 4th where we were fortunate to have been there with little crowds! As we got closer to their reception venue at Lago Custom Events, we began to take pictures under the nearby bridge for that industrial feel and the rain began to pour!

But the clouds broke apart and the sun began to shine through as guests made their way to the rooftop for cocktail hour and be surrounded by the weekend sounds of downtown Cleveland. After a quick rainstorm that came bellowing down just to get everything wet, May & David’s guests were greeted by a warm, classic Lake Erie sunset during their Cleveland meets the Hamptons (as I liked to call it! 😁) wedding reception!

A Charming Fete never ceases to amaze me as they put together a breathtaking reception under a draped white tent with white and blue details that were in every nook and cranny. My favorite details were the monogrammed napkins, the personalized monogram cups and the southern menu that would make your mouth water! Outside games were attended all evening long by guests and the dance floor was never empty!

May & David gave a speech to their guests following the toasts given by their father’s and bridal party members and this is always a favorite moment during a wedding for me! It shows how caring & attentive these two are as a couple, what a fantastic quality to have! And after hearing the toasts given by May’s maid of honor and David’s best man, it definitely confirmed this!

Getting to know David & May was so delightful and I’m honored to have been alongside them during their beautiful wedding day! Wishing you both many years of love & happiness!!
