A breezy summer, rustic lake side wedding at Vermilion on the Lake.

You know what’s a real treat? Getting to photograph a high school pal’s wedding day! I knew Alli from high school, cheering right alongside one another on many Friday nights! And it’s really awesome getting to see her in this phase in her life, as a wife! 

Alli & Pat’s wedding day was held at Vermilion on the Lake, inside a rustic log cabin that sits on the edges of Lake Erie. It’s a hidden gem, nestled in a small neighborhood with spectacular views! Upstairs, Alli & her bridesmaids got ready in the cozy bridal suite before heading to the the courtyard to the side of the venue where Alli & Pat shared their first look. Followed by a first look with Alli’s dad! Her dad reminds me so much of my own, a man of few words. But I think the tears in his eyes said plenty about how much he loved his girl, Alli.

They had a perfect warm breeze to keep them cool during their outdoor ceremony. I loved during their ceremony, as the song Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton played, Alli & Pat poured 2 different flavored whiskeys together into a small barrel to let sit & age to drink together on a future anniversary! Everyone else must have felt them same as they oohed & ahhed during this special part!

Back into the reception space, guests were welcomed into the cozy rustic lodge with a variety of collected glass bottles and soft whimsical flowers. And a tower of gourmet donuts that were incredibly hard not to eat by the fistful! Ha!
