I hope you enjoy this Huntington Beach Bay Village session. A here, is actually a past bride and I was thrilled getting to capture her in another one of her greatest moments in life, being a mama. Although we had planned for earlier in the year during mother’s day, I am so glad that we were still about to capture baby J at such a young stage in his first year. We chose Huntington Beach in Bay Village to photograph their portraits and the fires that were taking place in Canada at the time, made for it very hard to see to far out on the lake. However, I think that it made for some really beautiful portraits and helped keep the background so simple and all the focus on the love between A and her babe.
Hey there mama. I’m Britt, owner of Brittany Serowski Photography. I am a Bay Village newborn and family photographer documenting babies, mothers & motherhood journeys. I specialize in a portrait experience that is full of ease and joy, with results of beautiful photographed memories. I serve mothers in Cleveland and the surrounding areas. Bay Village, Rocky River, Westlake, Avon Lake, Lakewood, Tremont, Ohio City, Shaker Heights, Olmsted Falls and more. All motherhood sessions include pre-session online consultations for portrait preparation & style assistance, a styling guide full of knowledge in preparing and making the most out of your session, portrait coverage on location at my exclusive scouted areas & high resolution edited digital portraits delivered in an online gallery.

Newborn sessions held at home, just hit different. They feel calm, quiet and much more intimate. Baby M’s North Olmsted newborn session was all three of these and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better session if we tried!
There is so much to love about an in-home newborn session. For one, there is no rushing out the door. And that alone, can I get a hallelujah! As a mom myself – I know how hard it was trying to get one kid out the door and being a few minutes late. Now with two, we need to start getting ready to get out the door a good 2 hours before we even need to walk out! It’s nice being able to not rush your other little ones out and having a few extra minutes to get yourself ready.

Another reason why I love in-home newborn sessions, especially if you have other little ones besides baby, it is a safe & comfortable environment. Meaning, your toddlers are going to feel so much more relaxed having everything they know surrounding them. Too, when they are ready for a break – they can go straight to their playroom and be amongst their toys. This was the perfect scenario for Mom & her boys! While we took some portraits of just baby M and mom, dad and brother were able to go and relax elsewhere in the comfort of their home.
Mom & the boys were such a joy to chat with! We bonded over both having boys, our love for neutrals and buying boy clothes & our favorite spots to get them (Zara and H&M for other boy mamas looking!). M’s nursery was so darling and a beautiful backdrop for his newborn session. Mom told me she pulled it all together quickly for the portraits and she did such an amazing job! (You should all see T’s nursery, it’s still a storage space really – second kid problems, you know?) 🙂

I am officially back in action after taking off for my maternity leave with T! I truly couldn’t have wanted a better session to get myself back in the game or get my creative juices moving again than with this Chagrin Falls Motherhood Session. It was a treat getting to meet M’s newest addition & I always enjoy our conversations we have when we are together.
Chagrin Falls Motherhood Session
M is a mom to now three little ones & the owner of Meg Morrow Design. She is an incredibly talented stationary artist & I get the joy of working with her daily too, as her VA! I love getting to work with creative & driven business owners and M certainly fits the bill. She is so encouraging when I need that little pep talk and I’m just so thankful for the friendship I have gained with her!
As I mentioned, M just welcomed her third babe in February. It was lovely having a friend also pregnant & feeling those woes alongside me! Ha! This year is my first full year as a motherhood photographer and I really wanted to take the idea of motherhood sessions beyond just maternity, newborn & family portraits and really embrace portraits that are motherhood focused.
During M’s session, we talked so much about that balance of being a new mom, a business owner and wife and trying to manage all the things. It can be so difficult especially in the season of newborns and young children. But as a mom, it is so nice being able to have those conversations with other moms who get it and can relate with you.
I loved how M’s portraits turned out for her motherhood session. And I just had to sneak in a few newborn portraits of her sweet little one as well. She gave me some really wonderful ideas for portrait sessions to offer this year and I can’t wait to share more of those details with you!
